There is a plethora of experiment books, but very little in the way of systematic course instruction. Traditional texts are geared toward the classroom setting and often jump from one area to another without much depth on any particular topic.About the Author|Dr. Keller received her Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry from the University of New Mexico in 1992. She continued her work with an NSF postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Molecular Biology at UNM followed by a Burroh's Wellcome Fund Postd

The Pre-Level I Chemistry Laboratory Workbook includes ten hands-on experiments that incorporate the chemistry concepts found in the student text. The experiments include an introduction to atoms and molecules, an introduction to acid/base chemistry, mixtures, polymer chemistry and an introduction to proteins and DNA. The experiments are teacher directed and require the Pre-Level I Chemistry Teacher's Manual.
